Job Summary
1. Operates trenching machines to dig trenches for pipelines, cables, or other underground infrastructure.
2. Conducts pre-operational checks on equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
3. Follows project plans, blueprints, and specifications to achieve desired trench depth and width.
4. Maintains accurate records of trenching progress, production rates, and equipment performance.
5. Troubleshoots and performs basic repairs on equipment.
6. Collaborates with other crew members to ensure efficient project execution.
7. Adheres to safety protocols, regulations, and company policies.
8. Performs maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and lubricating equipment.
Requirements:
1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Experience operating heavy machinery, preferably trenching equipment.
3. Valid certification or license to operate heavy equipment.
4. Physical stamina to work in varying weather conditions.
5. Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
6. Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
7. Basic mechanical knowledge.
