Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the Control Tower, ensuring real-time visibility, coordination, and efficiency in 3PL operations.
• Develop and execute logistics strategies to enhance distribution, reduce costs, and improve overall performance.
• Oversee third-party logistics service providers, ensuring seamless integration with the company’s supply chain.
• Manage fleet services, including sourcing, contract negotiations, and operational oversight.
• Ensure compliance with regional trade regulations for exports to SADC countries.
• Oversee payment systems related to 3PL providers, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Implement and manage driver strategies, including performance tracking, evaluations, and breakdown management.
• Monitor key logistics KPIs, using data-driven insights to optimize service levels and cost efficiency.
• Collaborate with procurement, operations, and finance teams to enhance overall supply chain effectiveness.
• Stay ahead of market trends, emerging logistics technologies, and best practices in FMCG logistics.

Minimum

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 5+ years’ experience in logistics and third-party logistics management within the FMCG sector.
• Strong background in cross-border logistics and exports to SADC regions.
• Proven experience in contract negotiation, fleet management, and 3PL sourcing.
• Solid understanding of inventory management, payment systems, and logistics financial controls.
• Hands-on experience with driver strategy, performance evaluations, and operational oversight.
• Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to thrive under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
