Job Summary

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESRetrieve, reconcile and monitor all remittance advicesAttend to resolve claim rejections and maximise payments received from medical schemesRequest authorisation from the medical aid schemes on various platformsFollow-up on all outstanding claims and short paymentsUpdate and send invoices for cash patientsAction and update weekly statistical reportReduce the total outstanding balance in the Age Analysis by focusing on collections and reconciliationsAssess and reconcile all outstanding claims to ensure the balances are accurately represented on the systemCapture and Submit all IOD claims and request all relevant documentationIdentify any incorrect billing to fix and resubmit claims accordinglySubmit weekly Claim Status Reports with detailed feedbackUpdate the Alegra system with all relevant informationMINIMUM REQUIREMENTSMatric Minimum 3 years working experience as an Administrator / Billings ClerkProficient in MS Office and ExcelProficient in MEdEDI, Health Bridge COID (Traumaweb) and AlegraRELEVANT SKILLSGood numerical skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong organisation skillsStrong negotiating skillsDetail orientatedAccurate and reliableExcellent attention to detailExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAble to work with little or no supervision.
