Company and Job Description:
A well-established construction group is seeking an experienced Cashbook / Creditors Clerk to join its finance team. This is a newly created role and is ideal for a confident, detail-driven individual who can take full ownership of the banking and payment cycle in a high-volume environment.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Full management of the banking cycle, including accurate postings to the general ledger
• Processing and control of high volumes of daily payments
• Oversight of all banking administration functions, requiring persistence and strong follow-through
• Creditors processing, reconciliations, and payment controls
• Ensuring accuracy, compliance, and deadlines are consistently met
• Working closely with senior management during the initial phase of the role

Job Experience and Skills Required:
Completed finance qualification
Approximately 10 years’ experience in a similar commercial cashbook / creditors role
Proven creditors experience in a high-volume payment environment (essential)
Strong attention to detail with a resilient, assertive personality
Solid Excel skills
Experience with BuildSmart or similar construction accounting systems would be advantageous
