Job Summary

Duties & Responsibilities

Day to Day Requirements for this Role

  • SALES for company and any other company in the group
  • Create templates on ERP to improve turnaround when doing quotations.
  • Prepare Quotes for MD and back-up for distributors or any other division as requested.
  • VERY NB – NEVER send a quotation to a client without the MDs approval.
  • Follow-up quotations until customer order is received or sale is lost NB always put reason for loss.
  • Stay in constant e-mail contact with client base as well as call to client, to build relationships. Load leads & prospects onto the CRM.
  • Update and maintain the customer data base to send out regular marketing campaigns.
  • Look for new business by contacting customers who have purchased from AVT in the past.
  • Avoid product information, pricing and availability.
  • VERY NB – NEVER send Sales or Customer, product information etc with supplier details on it.
  • VERY NB – NEVER send Suppliers, information with customer details on it.
  • E-Commerce – Handle from Quote to Sales Order
  • Starting with Carbon Vane, e-commerce site.

MARKETING

  • Marketing campaigns
  • Create articles, newsletters etc for advertising, websites, social media, and marketing Campaigns etc
  • Create marketing campaigns on ERP/CRM and send out to customers monthly.
  • Send marketing campaigns to Maj3 to send out to data base or use Mail Chimp or similar.
  • VERY NB – All of the above to be checked and approved by the MD before being used for marketing purposes.
  • LinkedIN and other Social Media platforms
  • Profile & Lead management.
  • Photo’s & Articles for LinkedIN and advertising
  • VERY NB – All of the above to be checked and approved by the MD before being used for marketing purposes on social media platforms

Website

  • Updating website and assisting MD with website.
  • Getting information from suppliers for website etc

Marketing of Stock

  • Checking stock regularly to run SPECIAL PROMOTIONs to ensure stock does not sit on the shelf.
  • Any marketing assistance required by the MD.
  • Organize and manage trade shows, exhibitions, and promotional events.

OTHER General Admin & Sales Support Required by MD or Shareholders

  • Obtaining supplier & service provider Quotations required by the MD.
  • Advertising, labels, cars, tyres, office furniture, printing, stationery any supplier quotations
  • Requested by MD.
  • Manage the MDs diary and make appointments.
  • Order lunch and make coffee for MD, Shareholders and guests.
  • File documents in a physical file and digitally using the myfile assist as per relevant checklist.
  • Any other Admin & Sales Support required by the MD or Shareholders

QUALITY CONTROL & DATA MAINTENANCE

  • Quality control and data maintenance of selling price lists, quotations, product information and databases are essential to ensure data accuracy, promote profitability, and cost efficiency.   • Perform other duties as required to meet the objectives of the sales & admin support teams, and any other task necessary for the conduct, growth, and sustainability of the organization or as the employer may from time to time direct.
  • A separate schedule determining the day-to-day tasks, job functions, workflow, KPAs, goals, and deadlines, required to meet the objectives of the team for this role, form part of the function of this role.
