About the Role
A progressive and fast-growing accounting firm based in Pretoria East is looking for a driven SAICA Trainee Accountant to join their team immediately. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual who wants hands-on exposure, structured training, and the chance to complete SAICA articles within a professional and supportive environment that values growth, learning, and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in audit engagements from planning through to completion
- Prepare audit working papers and assist with drafting financial statements
- Support tax calculations, returns, and statutory submissions
- Attend client meetings and assist with building long-term client relationships
- Ensure adherence to SAICA requirements and internal quality standards
- Work collaboratively within a team while managing multiple deadlines
Requirements
- Currently studying towards or completed a SAICA-accredited qualification (BCom Accounting or equivalent)
- CTA completed or currently in progress will be highly advantageous
- Strong academic results with a commitment to professional excellence
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
- Competent in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
