Job Description

Essential Matric BCom graduate, in Accountancy, Investments, Economics, Treasury or business related field 8 years relevant experience, of which at least 5 years working experience in a Banking Treasury environment, specific to forex, hedging strategy and hedge accounting Knowledge and understanding of SARB Regulations Experience dealing with the SARB & Exchange Control of the local banks Ability to establish good relationships with all internal and external stakeholders Ability to work within a team to achieve goals Working knowledge of Accounting principles Management accountancy, P&L, Balance Sheet and cash flows. Knowledge of how period end information is used within the organisation drive business decisions SOX, IFRS and local GAAP knowledge Excellent MS Office knowledge and skills Ability to adapt quickly in a new environment and work on multiple systems/platforms Ability to communicate Forex information with non-finance employees Ability to effectively communicate across all levels of FinOps Desired Undertaking or a desire to undertake further education to progress career. Post graduate qualification in the relevant field
