About the Role
As a key member of our Operations team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of our Mokopane branch. You will be responsible for implementing and enforcing our branch Manual, contributing to strategic plan development, and driving reliability improvements. If you have excellent communication skills, a passion for problem-solving, and experience in customer liaison, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with the Komatsu branch Manual at all levels in the business
- Participate in operations strategic plan development with divisional team and Operations Executive
- Conduct resource planning for the branch
- Assess the impact of risk-mitigating plans and preventative action strategies and recommend alternatives to Operations leadership
- Interact with HR Executive & Senior Operations Manager on resource planning
- Communicate overall branch strategy, plans, and objectives and provide channels for communication
- Collaborate with HR in disciplinary cases
- Plan and prepare for the annual budgeting process of the branch following relevant financial policies and procedures
- Liaise with customers concerning technical issue resolution and refer complex issues to Branch manager or internal product support function
- Regularly check that the warehouse is tidy and clean, and items are binned, packed, and labeled as per policy and procedures
- Assist and approve Offer to Purchase documentation and submit it to the customer
- Drive and implement reliability improvements plans that will result in expected equipment performance
- Contribute to technical planning and ensure quality of machine inspections
- Monitor customer satisfaction, quality, and safety compliance
- Approve parts, equipment orders, and oversee parts/consumables planning
- Oversee warehouse operations and stock controls, including writeoffs and replenishment
- Coordinate staff training, skills development, and technical debriefings
- Produce technical and service reports, including operational and performance metrics
- Manage vehicle fleet usage, costs, and compliance
- Handle warranty claims, audits, data accuracy systems, and asset register control
- Support financial reporting, resolve financial queries, and assist with debtors
- Build customer relationships, support sales processes, and identify market opportunities
Requirements
- Trade/Technical qualification (N4) and studying towards a Business-related diploma
