About the Role
Private Game Reserve in Montagu is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Coordinator to join their Conservation Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and upkeep of all conservation-related infrastructure, as well as assisting with day-to-day management of heavy machinery and equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain fences, roads, dams, bomas, and other conservation-related infrastructure
- Operate and maintain heavy machinery (plant equipment) in a safe and efficient manner
- Assist with the upkeep and repair of infrastructure as needed
- Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure equipment is in good working order
- Collaborate with team members to achieve department goals
Requirements
- Grade 12 Degree in Nature Conservation or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar environment
- Ability to anticipate future circumstances, conditions, and requests and plan accordingly
- Correct communication skills for detailed instructions to others
- Recognition of safety or security concerns
- Problem-solving skills with flexibility and innovation
Qualifications
- Completed Grade 12 degree
- Matric certificate
- Intermediate user of Microsoft Office software applications (Excel, Word, Outlook)
