About the Role
Hire Resolve is seeking experienced South African Mechanics to work in Meppel, Netherlands. The successful candidates will resolve malfunctions and perform maintenance and limited construction work in the mechanical field, ensuring that assignments are completed on time and according to required specifications, while adhering to applicable safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspected installations/machines/systems (maintenance)
- Assessed the condition based on inspection lists
- Identified and corrected (potential) issues, if possible
- Reported findings to the supervisor, including the nature and severity
- Performed corrective maintenance from inspections at planned times
- Recommended measures and suggestions to address issues
- Maintained timeliness and completeness of inspections
- Ensured completeness of reports
- Achieved accuracy of repairs and corrections
- Evaluated effectiveness of recommended measures and suggestions
- Resolved functional installations/machines (malfunction resolution)
- Located malfunctions and causes
- Assessed the nature and extent of malfunctions and decided if immediate repairs were necessary
- Performed emergency repairs in consultation with the supervisor and production management
- Completed larger repairs at scheduled times based on prepared assignments
- Maintained accuracy of malfunction diagnosis
- Determined the urgency of repairs (immediate or planned)
- Resolved malfunction resolution efficiently and thoroughly
- Modified and revised installations/machines
- Clarified assignment modifications to installations
- Performed modification, revision, and construction work based on work orders and using tools and machinery for metalwork, machining, and welding equipment
- Commissioned and tested modified and new installations/machines
- Proposed technical improvements to the supervisor
- Evaluated effectiveness and usefulness of improvement suggestions
- Notified the supervisor of inventory changes
- Identified and reported potential shortages
- Performed mandatory inspections
Requirements
- Matric / N4
- Mechanical Trade Test
- N1 N6 highly advantageous
- South African Drivers License
- Fluent in Afrikaans language essential and mandatory
- Completed 3-year apprenticeship
- Able to Read technical drawings
- Experience working with hydraulics and pneumatics
- Experience Turning, milling, and welding
- VCA/VVI 1 (basic)
- Experience working in dirty, dusty environments with autoclaves

Salary & Benefits
Salary: R42k – R54k per annum + shift allowance (18.5%), monthly rand conversion (R86k – R73k).
