About the Role
Hydro Power Systems is seeking two experienced Long Hole Rig Operators to support operations across Zimbabwe, Rustenburg, and Carltonville. We are looking for skilled underground professionals with a strong focus on precision drilling, safety compliance, and productivity.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate long hole drilling rigs safely and efficiently
- Perform pre-start inspections and routine equipment checks
- Ensure drilling accuracy according to mine plans and specifications
- Identify and report mechanical or operational faults
- Adhere strictly to mine health and safety standards
- Maintain productivity targets and quality drilling output
- Complete operational logs and reports as required
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Long Hole Rig Operator in an underground mining environment
- Strong understanding of long hole drilling methods and best practices
- Sound knowledge of underground safety regulations and procedures
- Ability to work under pressure and meet production targets
- Medically fit for underground work (valid certificates, permits, or competency records advantageous)
