About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Deal Maker to join our team in Nelspruit, Mpumalanga. As a key member of our Small Business & Regional Finance department, you will play a crucial role in evaluating funding applications, conducting due diligence, and contributing to regional economic development objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate funding applications across financial, technical and/or marketing disciplines
- Conduct detailed due diligence investigations
- Structure transactions using appropriate financing instruments
- Identify, assess and mitigate transaction risks
- Negotiate financial, legal, EHS and commercial terms
- Align transactions to strategic and industry development objectives
- Prepare comprehensive credit proposals and funding assessments
- Manage approved deals through to first disbursement
- Maintain accurate client and portfolio data
Requirements
- Relevant Commercial or Technical Honours Degree (NQF Level 8)
- 5–8 years’ related experience
- At least 2–3 years in assessment and closing of transactions
- Competence in at least two due diligence disciplines (Financial, Marketing or Technical)
- Strong financial statement interpretation skills
- Knowledge of structured or development finance products advantageous
- Sector exposure beneficial
