About the Role
As a CNC Miller, you will be responsible for taking shared ownership of milling process design and execution. You will work closely with our team to produce high-precision components that meet exacting tolerances. Your role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and a passion for precision machining.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently reading technical drawings and work instructions to correctly set up and configure 5-axis machining centres
- Producing complex, high-precision components frequently prototypes or small series
- Carrying out in-process quality controls throughout production
- Managing microplanning on the machine, ensuring efficient tooling and material use
- Providing constructive feedback to programmers upon job completion
- Conducting root cause analysis when quality issues arise
Requirements
- Broad, demonstrable experience as a CNC Machinist within the precision engineering industry
- Proven ability to independently read and interpret complex technical engineering drawings
- Hands-on experience with measuring tools and in-process inspection techniques
- Strong, demonstrable experience operating 5-axis machining centres
- Experience with Siemens CNC control systems
