About the Role

Phakisa Holdings is seeking a skilled and experienced Scaffolder Fixer to join our team in Nelspruit. As a key member of our construction crew, you will be responsible for erecting, altering, and dismantling scaffolding and temporary works safely and efficiently under the direction of a Scaffold Charge Hand or Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform scaffolding activities only under supervision and in accordance with approved risk assessments and procedures.
  • Comply with all safety instructions, control measures, and site-specific requirements.
  • Stop work immediately and report to the Charge Hand or Supervisor if unsafe conditions are identified.
  • Erect, alter, and dismantle access scaffolding and temporary works in accordance with approved methods and instructions.
  • Correctly handle, inspect, and use scaffolding materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Maintain good housekeeping within the work area.
  • Follow instructions issued by the Scaffold Charge Hand and Scaffold Supervisor at all times.
  • Ensure that scaffolding components are installed correctly and that structures are stable and secure.

Requirements

  • Valid training and certifications in Working at Heights, Scaffold Erector, Confined Space Entry, Grade 12 (Matric), and a valid Medical Fitness Certificate, including Working at Heights.
  • Minimum 2-3 years’ scaffolding experience.
  • Experience in construction, shutdown, or industrial scaffolding environments.

  • Completed Grade 12 (Matric) educational requirement.
