Job Title: Meetings & Events Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Meetings & Events Specialist to join our team at The Vineyard Hotel. As part of our hospitality team, we prioritize the well-being and growth of every staff member, providing on-demand healthcare, wellness activities, assistance with essentials, and healthy meals.

Responsibilities:

As our ideal candidate, you will be an inspiring, empowering, and results-oriented leader with a passion for service excellence whilst maintaining standards and exceeding departmental goals. Key responsibilities include:
Facilitating communication and implementation of deliverables and forecasted events and business
Consolidating and tracking timelines for various events in consultation with operational teams
Reviewing and managing the processing of quotes, contracts, and function sheets to ensure quality standards
Assessing and managing venue inventory alongside the HOD and Operations Team to evaluate event business and maximise revenues
Creating event proposals that meet client requirements and presenting these within a 12-24 hour turnaround time
Demonstrating strong knowledge of hotel venues, facilities, and additional offerings to clients
Issuing invoices and following up on payments prior to client arrival
Hosting site inspections and creating sales opportunities for future events during client engagements

Requirements:
Matric Certificate and relevant tertiary qualification from a recognised South African or International Educational Institution
3 years’ experience in a similar role in a busy, high-demand environment
