About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Head Baker to join our production kitchen in North Johannesburg, leading our bakery division and driving new product development, quality, consistency, health & safety, logistics, and staff management.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage daily production in a fast-paced bakery kitchen
- Oversee preparation, baking schedules, and quality control
- Train, mentor, and supervise the bakery team
- Manage ordering, stock control, and waste reduction
- Maintain food safety and hygiene standards
Requirements
- SA national or valid work permit
- Proven experience as a Head Baker or Senior Baker in a production environment
- Strong knowledge of artisan breads, laminated doughs, and large-batch baking
- Excellent leadership and organisational skills
- Ability to work early mornings and meet production targets
