North West: SHEC Officer posted by PRO Personnel Employment Agency

Requirements:
* 3-5 years SHE experiences, preferably in a mining or industrial environment
* Knowledge of MHSA and environmental legislation
* SAMTRAC or equivalent safety training preferred.
* Qualification: National or certificate in safety Management / Environmental Science or similar

Key Responsibilities:
* Implement and monitor the mines SHEC management plan
* Conduct risk assessment, safety inspections and incident investigations
* Ensure compliance with the Mine Health & Safety Act and environmental regulations
* Maintain SHEC registers, safety statistics and incident logs
* Facilitate toolbox talks and safety inductions for employees and contractors
* Liaise with the department of mineral resources and energy (DMRE) and local community
* Promote environmental best practices and community engagements initiatives
