Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and creative Sous Chef to help lead this talented culinary team in crafting world-class ‘gastronomic safaris’- from sunrise breakfasts in the bush to intimate, starlit dinners in the boma.

Core criteria:

  • At least 3-5+ years of Sous level experience within a luxury safari establishment (preferred)
  • A formal culinary qualification 
  • Able to assist the Head Chef in implementing kitchen standards
  • Be able to co-manage all administrative departmental duties (staff files, off-day schedule, hygiene standards etc.)
  • Must be excellent in stock controls, ordering processes, and stock rotation
  • Proactive maintenance of all kitchen equipment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication across all departments.
