Job Summary
Minimum
Requirements:
- Grade 12
- At least 3 years in a manufacturing environment
- Mechanical qualification preferred
- Experience with CAD
- Health and Safety experience
- Organised and some admin experience (able to do emails and work on MS Office packages)
- Willing to work shifts from time to time, as and when needed
Duties and
Responsibilities:
Safety & Compliance:
- Uphold and enforce all health and safety regulations and guidelines.
- Immediately report and document any unsafe conditions, incidents, or accidents.
- Conduct daily safety inspections and provide corrective action recommendations.
- Wear all required safety gear and utilize safety equipment properly.
- Prioritize personal and team safety by strictly adhering to all safety protocols.
- Promptly report any hazards, unsafe conditions, or incidents.
- Cooperate fully with safety inspections and comply with all safety-related instructions.
Operational Support:
- Follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of orders.
- Assist with inventory audits, order placement, and the management of critical supplies.
- Promote a workplace culture that reflects the company`s mission, vision, and values.
- Conduct employee inductions and provide regular safety training.
- Actively participate in production meetings.
- Thoroughly understand and follow all relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Develop, maintain, and manage SOPs or forms as needed.
- Perform basic operational, production, and housekeeping duties.
- Ensure supervisors complete daily efficiency reports, checklists, and timesheets.
- Promptly address and resolve any non-conformances.
- Provide support to production, nesting, dispatch, or warehouse departments as required.
- Ensure all departments have the necessary tools and materials to operate efficiently.
Reporting & Analysis:
- Prepare, file, and analyze reports, forms, and operational data.
- Complete and analyze weekly and project-specific reports.
- Maintain accurate records and conduct random audits as required.
- Document meeting minutes and effectively communicate updates to relevant departments.
Maintenance & Improvement:
- Assist with routine and preventative maintenance of facilities and equipment.
- Proactively suggest and implement quality and operational improvements.
General
Responsibilities:
- Conduct oneself professionally and complete all assigned tasks as directed by management.
- Lead investigations into incidents and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Ensure all tasks and projects are completed on time and within budget
