Hire Resolve’s client is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Outbound Manager with a background in packaging manufacturing to join their team in Cape Town, WC. A dynamic role focused on managing the dispatch and shipping functions, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of finished goods to customers. The position involves collaboration with the Head of Sales to ensure shipments align with international freight forwarding standards, while also optimizing duties and consignment stock opportunities.

Responsibilities:

• Manage outbound supplier agreements and distribution costs
• Identify and implement cost-saving measures for improved budget performance
• Optimize container loading and shipping efficiency
• Oversee actual vs planned shipping deadlines and manage challenges, including customs
• Lead the outbound team to meet Key Performance Areas (KPAs)
• Ensure timely arrival of goods, focusing on customer satisfaction
• Compile and present reports at senior management level

Requirements:

• Degree in Logistics or related field, ideally BCom with post-graduate Supply Chain and Freight Forwarding certification
• 3+ years of experience in freight forwarding and shipping, including international experience (Africa, Australasia, America)
• Strong working relationships with freight forwarding agents
• In-depth knowledge of freight forwarding regulations and customs duties
• Familiarity with outbound ERP systems and customs regulations
• Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills
• Proven leadership and ability to influence through diplomacy
• Strong ethical framework, decision-making skills, and self-motivation
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under pressure
