About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cost and ERP Specialist to join our team in Paarl. As a key member of our finance and operations team, you will be responsible for maintaining cost recovery rates, preparing product costings, and managing inventory valuation, accuracy, and reporting. You will also be responsible for designing and delivering end-user training and system documentation for the SYSPRO ERP platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain cost recovery rates
- Prepare product costings and margin analysis
- Manage inventory valuation, accuracy, and reporting
- Prepare manufacturing cost reports and support month-end close
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and CAPEX-related costing
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls
- Assist with invoicing and job costing during high-demand times
- Manage ongoing system support for the SYSPRO ERP platform, 3rd party, and custom applications
- Troubleshoot system issues and manage resolutions in collaboration with vendors and support partners
- Developing and maintaining standard and custom reports using SQL, SSRS, and SRS
- Participating in internal projects, helping with design, configuration, testing, and rollout
- Assist in data extraction for ad-hoc reports and auditing requirements
- Recommend ERP System automation / process improvements / enhancements based on root cause analysis from support queries and troubleshooting
- Design, develop, and maintain financial BI dashboards and reports
- Build and manage data models from multiple sources
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years experience in cost accounting
- Minimum 3 years experience in business intelligence
- SYSPRO experience non-negotiable
- Skilled in SQL
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cost and Management Accounting / similar
- CIMA qualification (or working towards) advantageous
