About the Role
Mambo’s Plastics Warehouse is seeking a detail-driven and analytical Assistant Systems Administrator to support and maintain the integrity of our retail database systems. This role is critical in ensuring accurate, reliable, and continuously updated data across the business and acts as a key gatekeeper of system information. We are looking for a strong team player who collaborates well while also being able to work independently.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with all database-related functions, ensuring accuracy and consistency at all times.
- Import, update, and maintain data within company regulations.
- Act as a gatekeeper of database integrity, ensuring only accurate and approved data is captured.
- Ensure continuous updating of databases to reflect current prices, products, and supplier information.
- Assist with basic database checks and standard reports.
- Data cross-referencing.
- Analysing data to ensure accuracy.
- Follow all data security and confidentiality instructions strictly.
- Escalate any system issues, data errors, or discrepancies to the Systems Administrator promptly.
Requirements
- Tertiary qualification in Systems, IT, Computer Studies, Business, or similar is beneficial.
- Relevant studies or training in data capturing, data accuracy, or system administration will be advantageous.
- Experience in data capturing, database administration, or system support.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUP and XLOOKUP (essential).
- SAP Business One experience will be a strong advantage.
Qualifications
Tertiary qualification in Systems, IT, Computer Studies, Business, or similar is beneficial. Relevant studies or training in data capturing, data accuracy, or system administration will be advantageous.
