Location: Piet Retief, Mpumalanga

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Environmental Coordinator to join our client`s team in Piet Retief. The Environmental Coordinator will be responsible for implementing and overseeing environmental programs and initiatives to ensure compliance with local, regional, and national environmental regulations.

– Develop and implement environmental policies and procedures in accordance with relevant regulations and standards.
– Conduct regular environmental audits and assessments to identify potential risks and areas for improvement.
– Monitor and track environmental performance metrics to measure progress and identify opportunities for sustainability initiatives.
– Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to promote environmental awareness and best practices.
– Prepare and submit environmental reports to regulatory agencies as required.
– Stay current on environmental laws, regulations, and industry trends to ensure compliance and best practices are maintained.
– Oversee the planning and implementation of environmental projects, including waste management, recycling programs, and energy efficiency initiatives.
– Conduct training and awareness sessions for employees on environmental issues and best practices.

– Bachelor`s degree in environmental science, engineering, or a related field.
– Minimum of 3 years of experience in environmental compliance and management.
– Advanced computer literacy
– Knowledge of local environmental regulations and standards.
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
– Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team.
– Proficiency in Microsoft Office and environmental management software.
– Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
– Valid driver`s license.
