Job Description

A well-established national company within the wholesale and distribution sector is seeking an experienced Internal Sales Consultant to join their Pietermaritzburg branch. This role is ideal for a motivated sales professional who enjoys building strong customer relationships, supporting sales growth, and working in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving branch sales, supporting customers with product enquiries, and ensuring excellent service delivery. Key Responsibilities Achieve daily sales and profit targets Provide professional customer service and product support to clients Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and new customers Generate sales opportunities and assist with customer enquiries and quotations Process and manage sales administration and related documentation Promote the company’s online platform and customer loyalty programmes Liaise with suppliers and customers to support branch profitability and growth Assist with general branch administration and operational duties Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures Minimum Requirements Matric / NQF Level 4 qualification Minimum 2 years’ experience in an Internal Sales role Experience within a wholesale, retail, or distribution environment Strong customer service and relationship-building skills Good computer literacy (Outlook, Word, Excel and ERP systems) Technical product knowledge within refrigeration or air-conditioning equipment would be advantageous Personal Attributes Sales-driven with a strong customer focus Professional communication and interpersonal skills Well organised and able to work in a fast-paced environment Reliable with strong attention to detail
