Job Description
About the Role
We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Parts Sales/Buyer to join our team at Plett Yamaha in Plettenberg Bay. As a key member of our sales department, you will be responsible for managing the buying and procurement of spare parts, providing technical support, and maintaining strong relationships with clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Process sales quotations and sales orders
- Maintain and update sales- and customer records
- Update job cards on system
- Check data accuracy in respect of quotes and orders
- Monitor sales and distribution of spare parts to workshop, dealers, and customers
- Provide technical support
- Manage buying and procurement of spare parts
- Liaise with the Logistics/Technical department to ensure timely deliveries
- Process and track purchase orders
- Liaise with current and new local suppliers
- Ensure accurate ordering, receiving, pricing, and issuing of parts
- Manage spare parts inventory to ensure optimum stock levels and timely availability
- Update pricing in IQ Retail
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in administrative and Parts sales within the Boating or Marine industry
- Grade 12 qualification
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Team player-attitude
- Meticulous attention to detail, even under pressure
- Proactive mindset
- MS Office Suite experience (Word, Excel, etc.)
- IQ Retail experience
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, capable of maintaining strong relationships
- Strong organisational and multi-tasking skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines
