About the Role
A well-established 4* Hotel in Plettenberg Bay is seeking a friendly, reliable and service-oriented Porter to join their front-of-house team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, takes pride in presentation, and is willing to go the extra mile to ensure guests have a seamless and memorable stay.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome guests on arrival and assist with luggage handling
- Escort guests to rooms and provide a brief orientation of hotel facilities
- Assist with guest requests promptly and professionally
- Support reception and housekeeping teams where required
- Maintain cleanliness and presentation of public areas
- Assist with parking and general guest movement within the property
- Deliver messages, amenities and room service items when needed
- Monitor entrances and ensure a safe and welcoming environment
Requirements
- Previous experience in a hotel or guest service role (advantageous)
- Friendly, professional and well-presented
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Physically fit and able to handle luggage
- Willing to work shifts, weekends and public holidays
- Honest, reliable and punctual
- Ability to remain calm and helpful under pressure
- Positive attitude and genuine passion for guest service
