Hotel-Based Role: ROOM DIVISION MANAGER VACANCY Salary: R35,000 per month, negotiable depending on experience Location: Plettenberg Bay, Western Cape Property Type: 4-Star Boutique Hotel (live-out role) Position Overview An established 4-star hotel in Plettenberg Bay is seeking an experienced Room Division Manager to oversee all aspects of Front Office, Housekeeping, and Guest Services operations. This leadership role is ideal for a candidate with strong luxury hospitality experience, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to lead a motivated team while maintaining the highest guest service standards. The position is live-out ; and candidates must be existing residents of Plettenberg Bay or the greater Garden Route area. Own reliable transport is highly advantageous. Key Responsibilities Manage and coordinate all aspects of the Rooms Division, including Front Office, Housekeeping, and Guest Services . Drive guest satisfaction by maintaining a seamless and personalised service experience. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards throughout all operational areas. Oversee staff scheduling, performance management, and training to ensure service excellence. Manage budgets, departmental expenses, and implement cost-control initiatives. Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure consistent quality standards. Support the General Manager in developing operational strategies and driving service innovation. Manage guest complaints effectively with professionalism and discretion. Ensure accurate reporting, stock control, and administrative follow-up. Requirements Minimum of 4 years experience in Rooms Division or Front Office Management ; ideally within a 4-star or luxury hospitality environment. Strong leadership and team management skills with a proven track record in staff motivation and development. Proficiency in hotel PMS systems (Opera or similar) and MS Office. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a guest-focused and professional approach. Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities, with an eye for detail. Must reside in Plettenberg Bay / Garden Route and be available for a live-out position . Own transport highly favourable. Package & Benefits Salary: R35,000 per month, negotiable based on experience.
