Hire Resolve’s client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced FMCG Inventory Manager to join their team in Gauteng. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of inventory management within the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) industry. This includes tracking inventory levels, coordinating with suppliers, and ensuring accurate stock records.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement inventory management strategies to optimize stock levels and meet customer demand.
  • Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records using computerized systems.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and manage relationships with key vendors.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits to identify and rectify discrepancies.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends, anticipate demand, and make informed decisions.
  • Collaborate with sales and operations teams to forecast inventory needs and plan replenishment orders.
  • Implement best practices for warehouse management, including organizing stock, implementing FIFO system, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
  • Train and supervise inventory control staff to ensure accuracy and efficiency in daily operations.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and developments to continuously improve inventory management processes.
  • Report to senior management on inventory performance, trends, and KPIs.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in inventory management within the FMCG industry.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory control systems and practices.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proven leadership skills and ability to motivate and manage a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and inventory management software.
