Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist with the direct implementation of SHE Plan.
• Ensure that the requirements of the SHE Plan are communicated and understood by personnel and contractors on site and enforced.
• Ensure that documentation are submitted and of good quality.
• Conduct inspections and audits and follow up on corrective and preventative actions.
• Conduct EHS Risk Assessments and evaluate the Method Statements before the final Approval.
• Investigate and report EHS incidents and ensure close out.
• Prepare and conduct EHS awareness training and presentation.
• Miscellaneous activities: Support construction and ensure successful implementation and maintenance of the processes.
• Monitor EHS performance.
• Develop SOP and EHS Procedures
• Assisting EHS Manager
• Provide EHS professional advice to the construction team.
• Network with other contractors and industries on EHS practices to establish a benchmark.

• The purpose of the role is to assist on all health and Safety matters on project(s).
• Assisting and advising the construction team and contractors on Health and Safety matters.
• Coordinating of contractor Health and Safety officers and report to the EHS Manager.
• Reduce/ Prevent injury and Illness to all employees on site.
• Ensure LTIFR is maintained below required target.
• Ensure proactive Safety Management on the Project.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in construction industry medium to large projects.
• Prior experience in control and instrumentation type projects and ideally in the power plant industry.

Requirements: 

• Must have experience in dealing with contracts and ideally NEC
• The candidate should have the following qualifications:
  • 7 Years Experience
  • SAMTRAC / Equivalent
  • SACPCMP Registered (CHSO)
