About the Role
PerformIT Personnel is seeking an experienced General Manager to join our team in Port Elizabeth. As a strategic leader, you will oversee and optimize the family office’s diverse investment portfolio, which includes holdings in the medical industry, financial services, farming operations, and personal investments. This role requires a skilled individual with exceptional financial acumen who can identify new business opportunities, conduct thorough investment analysis, and provide expert guidance to ensure optimal profitability and wealth preservation for the family.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive investment strategies aligned with the family’s financial goals, risk tolerance, and values
- Conduct detailed analysis of current investments and recommend optimization strategies to maximize returns
- Evaluate potential investment opportunities and prepare detailed investment proposals with risk-return analysis
- Maintain portfolio diversification to manage risk while pursuing growth objectives
- Monitor market trends, economic indicators, and industry developments across all relevant sectors
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Accounting, Financial Management, Economics or a related field
- CA(SA); CIMA and/or MBA will be advantageous
- A minimum of 8-10 years’ experience in investment management, financial planning and strategic management or a role with senior finance functions and expertise in budgeting, forecasting, analysis and reporting
Qualifications
- Completed Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Accounting, Financial Management, Economics or a related field
- CA(SA); CIMA and/or MBA qualifications (if applicable)
