REQUIREMENTS Minimum education: a Degree in Mechanical Engineering and completed an internship Knowledge of production processes and machine capabilities Knowledge of tool room practices and machine capabilities Knowledge of drawing practices and drawing standards for tooling and gauging Knowledge of job costing and work study Computer literacy, CAD literacy and SAP Relevant PC skills in data acquisition, processing of statistics and presenting reports RESPONSIBILITIES Timeously and effectively implement tooling, gauging equipment, and methods for new products in accordance with quality procedures/ management handbook/ SAP Timeously and effectively implement process improvement and changes in accordance with quality procedures/ management handbook/ SAP Evaluate, justify and implement improvements as regards cost saving, quality, capacity, ergonomics and safety, by interaction with toolroom, production, quality assurance, maintenance, marketing, product development and purchasing Process responsibilities as defined in the company’s management handbook
