Job Summary
- Working as part of a team to ensure smooth export process for the company.
- Keep comprehensive records of all import and export transactions, including shipping documents, licenses, and compliance documentation for audit purposes.
- Allocating/reserve stock for orders and process shipments
- Collaborate with freight forwarders and logistics providers to arrange transportation and track shipments
- Prepare and provide documents in accordance with export SOPs
- Prepare and review export documentation and 100% accuracy. These include invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and customs declarations, etc
- Continuously monitor shipments from collection point through to delivery to client, regardless of incoterms.
- Escalate any problems as they arise and seek to find solutions
- Daily report updating of production / collection and departure statuses
- Sending of Export samples booking with Courier, paperwork, packaging and dispatching as well as tracking and updating of sample status/reports
- Estimate requests from freight agents/courier companies
- Stay informed about changes in international trade regulations, tariffs, and customs requirements to ensure compliance and adapt to export processes accordingly.
- Attend daily and weekly meetings
Requirements
- Matric with tertiary qualification in logistics, shipping or related
- Experience 1 to 2 years
- Own transport
- Fluent in English and Afrikaans
- Ideally to start immediately
