About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Retail Sales Manager to join our team at Aleon Pty Ltd in Port Elizabeth. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and motivating a team to increase sales and ensure efficiency, while ensuring that excellent customer care standards are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate day-to-day activities of customer service, staff, stock and inventory workers, cashiers, and sales associates of the entire retail store
- Interview and hire employees, direct training, and conduct performance evaluations
- Set work schedules and assign job duties for efficiency
- Provide customer service, including answering questions or responding to customer complaints
- Track inventory, place merchandise orders, monitor sales, sign off cash drawers reconciliations and receipts, and inspect the store to adjust product displays
Requirements
- Syspro experience required
- Understanding of Retail processes and procedures
- At least 4-5 years experience in Retail Sales
- Previous Retail Management experience at least 2-3 years
- Relevant experience and knowledge in the Industrial Hardware, Steel & Fluid Control Industries
- Vibrant personality, extrovert
- Strategic thinking and planning
- Managerial skills required
- Ability to work in a pressurized environment
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Business or related field (if applicable)
