About the Role
We are seeking a proactive Business Development Support Specialist to support the sales team by generating qualified leads, setting up appointments with decision-makers, and ensuring consistent follow-up throughout the sales cycle. As a key member of our team, you will be the first point of contact with prospective clients, helping open doors and maintaining communication while supporting the sales team to close opportunities. A basic understanding of IT services is essential for effective engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and identify potential SME clients for IT solutions
- Make initial contact with decision-makers to introduce IT services
- Filter leads so the sales team focuses on high-potential prospects: Identify client needs or pain points that can be solved by the company
- Assess current IT setups (outdated systems, multiple servers, unmanaged networks, security gaps)
- Ensure the lead is the right fit for the company’s services
- Schedule appointments and product demonstrations for the sales team
- Follow up with prospects to confirm receipt of proposals, quotes, or marketing materials
- Maintain accurate records of all leads, contacts, and communication in the CRM
- Assist with preparing sales materials, presentations, and quotes
- Track opportunities, lead status, and report metrics regularly
Requirements
- Grade 12
- Minimum 2 years experience in B2B lead generation or sales support (preferably in IT)
- Familiarity with IT services (cloud, servers, networking, security)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, professional and consultative
- Basic understanding of IT concepts (cloud, servers, networking)
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years experience in B2B lead generation or sales support (preferably in IT)

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software
Salary & Benefits
R12 000 – R15 000 per month (depending on experience), unlimited commission structure based on performance.
