About the Role
The Procurement Transformation Manager will play a critical role in driving The Focus Group’s transformation journey, ensuring the implementation and administration of all BBBEE-related legislation and sector codes. This position requires a strategic thinker with excellent communication and project management skills to develop and implement procurement transformation strategies and targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategy Formation & Implementation: Develop, implement, and monitor procurement transformation strategies and targets in consultation with stakeholders.
- Regulatory Compliance & Scorecard Management: Lead and manage all BEE compliance activities, ensuring legislative compliance and staying updated with Codes of Good Practice.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Manage internal and external supplier relationships, especially LED suppliers, communicating BBBEE compliance via spend reports and analysis.
- Policy Development & Implementation: Ensure BBBEE and transformation requirements are included and updated in procurement policies.
- Transformational Change Management: Design and deliver BBBEE reports (monthly, quarterly, annual), monitoring spend behavior and mitigating risks to procurement scores.
- Supplier/Vendor Management: Monitor and address gaps in suppliers’ BBBEE performance, advising SMMEs on compliance and referring struggling businesses to incubator partners.
- Leadership & Reporting: Provide mentorship to team members responsible for LED, compiling ESG reports for procurement and other reporting requirements.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of BBBEE Act, Scorecard, Property Charter, and sector charters.
- Excellent communication, presentation, stakeholder management, and project management skills.
- Advanced MS Excel skills for scorecard analysis and reporting.
- Auditing and verification skills; basic financial statement understanding.
Qualifications
Relevant 3-year degree in Supply Chain Management or Bachelor of Commerce. Industry Transformation qualification preferred.
