About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team at a popular coffee shop in Pretoria. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking light meals, sandwiches, toasties, jaffles, and similar items according to set recipes and standards.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and cook light meals, sandwiches, toasties, jaffles, and similar coffee shop items according to set recipes and standards.
Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation are consistent.
Manage kitchen prep work, including chopping, assembling, and portioning ingredients.
Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards in the kitchen.
Monitor stock levels and notify management of shortages.
Assist with opening and closing kitchen duties.

Requirements

Previous experience in a kitchen, café, or coffee shop environment preferred.
Basic cooking skills and understanding of kitchen operations.
