About the Role

Network Finance is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to support the accurate, compliant, and timely delivery of payroll and billing services in a fast-paced recruitment/contractor environment.

Key Responsibilities

Perform manual imports of employee, client, and placement data
Process timesheets and expenses, including reviews, validations, and approvals
Manage payroll adjustments, recalculations, and advance payments
Deliver accurate end-to-end payroll and billing in line with SLAs
Recalculate tax, statutory, and other deductions, including issuing P45s
Adjust and re-bill invoices, ensuring correct rates, deductions, and margins
Perform bank transfers and support accurate reconciliation
Complete in-house and margin reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
Perform Service User Number and BACS file format checks
Support banking activities, including BACS uploads, invoice uploads, and drawdowns
Load and manage court orders and associated payments
Process statutory payroll inputs
Respond to payroll queries from consultants, vendors, and internal stakeholders
Ensure payroll processing meets audit, control, and regulatory requirements
Manage Umbrella vendor relationships and payroll-related queries
Provide day-to-day support and cover for junior payroll team members
Share knowledge and best practices to support team continuity

Requirements

Completed Matric
Completed Payroll Certificate would be beneficial (not specified)
3 – 5 years’ experience in Payroll
Strong end-to-end payroll and billing knowledge
Strong reconciliation skills and high attention to detail
