About the Role
Our client, a leading engineering consulting firm, is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Draughtsperson to join their team in Pretoria. As a key member of the design team, you will be responsible for creating accurate and detailed drawings, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and collaborating with engineers to deliver high-quality projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in conceptual design development and drafting
- Collaborate with engineers to produce functional, economical, and technically accurate drawings
- Provide preliminary drawings with initial conceptual information for further refinement by engineers
- Ensure compliance with the ISO 9001 quality system, drawing standards, and control/filing procedures
- Coordinate and integrate with other engineering disciplines and architectural services, conducting clash analysis when necessary
- Manage electronic filing, administration, and document issue, including updates and revisions
- Utilize Autodesk Navisworks and BIM360 for effective project management and coordination
Requirements
- Grade 12 certificate is mandatory
- Minimum of eight (8) years of post-qualification experience in building services, with a focus on medical installations
- Proficiency and experience in Autodesk Naviswords and BIM360 will be advantageous
- Certification in AutoCAD, Microstation, and REVIT MEP software packages is required
- Registration as a member of the South African Institute of Draughting is necessary
Qualifications
- Completed Grade 12
- Bachelor’s degree or higher (if applicable)
- Registration with the South African Institute of Draughting

- Experience in building services, with a focus on medical installations
