Job Description

Introduction

A leading electrical construction company based in Silverton, Pretoria is looking for an experienced Electrical Project Manager with MV experience to join their team.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee electrical projects from initiation to completion.
  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate all project activities and resources.
  • Ensure compliance with MV electrical standards, SANS regulations, and client specifications.
  • Conduct site inspections, risk assessments, and quality checks.
  • Manage project budgets, cost control, and procurement.
  • Lead and support site teams, contractors, and subcontractors.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Prepare project progress reports and documentation.

Desired Experience & Qualification

  • Electrical qualification (National Diploma/Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent).
  • Minimum 35 years experience in Medium Voltage (MV) installations/projects.
  • Proven experience in electrical project management.
  • Strong understanding of MV systems, switchgear, transformers, cables, and protection systems.
  • Valid drivers licence.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Advantages (Not compulsory):

  • ECSA registration or candidate registration.
  • ORHVS certification.
  • Experience with commercial/industrial electrical projects.
  • Knowledge of BuildSmart or similar project management systems.
