As a Geometric/Contracts Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the contractual and geometric aspects of road construction and infrastructure projects. Working closely with clients, contractors, and project teams, you will ensure the successful execution of projects and adherence to project specifications and designs.
In this role, your expertise in contract management and geometric design will be crucial in ensuring the timely delivery of projects within budget and in compliance with all contractual agreements. You will prepare and review contract documents, conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with project specifications, and address any contractual or geometric issues that may arise.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the contractual and geometric aspects of road construction and infrastructure projects
- Prepare and review contract documents, including specifications, drawings, and schedules
- Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with project specifications and design requirements
- Identify and resolve any contractual or geometric issues that may impact project delivery
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and project teams, to ensure successful project execution
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and other statutory requirements
- Monitor project progress and provide updates to all relevant parties
Requirements:
- Proven experience in contract management and geometric design within the roads and infrastructure industry
- Sound knowledge of contract administration and applicable legislation
- Proficiency in relevant engineering software and design tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a team and independently
- Attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- BSc Eng / BEng / BTech Eng qualification in Civil Engineering
- Must be Pr.Eng / Pr.Tech Eng registered
- Minimum 10-15 years relevant experience in Engineering Consultancy
