About the Role
Banbury Park is seeking an experienced Building Superintendent to join our team in Pretoria North. As the primary point of contact for resident inquiries and maintenance requests, you will be responsible for ensuring high levels of satisfaction among our residents while upholding community rules and regulations. With a strong focus on proactive maintenance and excellent communication skills, we are looking for a dedicated individual to lead our building management team.
Key Responsibilities
- Liaising between Trustees, Managing Agent and Occupants of the Body Corporate
- Conduct daily and weekly physical inspections of all common areas, grounds, amenities, and building exteriors to identify maintenance needs proactively
- Oversee and perform minor, routine maintenance tasks efficiently
- Vet, coordinate, and supervise all external service providers to ensure work is completed to standard, ensuring all contractors have valid OHS compliance documentation and Public Liability Insurance (where applicable)
- Monitor CCTV footage and report any concerns to the Trustees
- Act as a neutral party to de-escalate disputes between residents or between residents and management regarding building rules
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in property management, maintenance, or a related field
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong organizational and time management skills
Qualifications
- Matric (or equivalent)
- Valid driver’s license
