About the Role
As a Senior HR Professional in Pretoria North, you will provide dedicated support to multiple managers and employees, focusing on HR fundamentals, talent acquisition, process training, and employee onboarding, BBB-EE, and communication. You will be an integral part of the HR team, working closely with management to drive business objectives and promote operational effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted HR advisor to managers and employees across the plant
- Deliver HR initiatives that promote engagement, communication, and operational effectiveness
- Drive best-practice HR processes aligned with business and production objectives
- Manage HR reporting, analytics, and workforce insights to support decision-making
- Lead end-to-end recruitment and selection processes
- Partner with management to identify talent needs and workforce planning requirements
- Oversee onboarding, employee integration, and exit processes to ensure a seamless employee journey
- Support plant training initiatives and skills development programmes
- Facilitate on-the-job learning aligned with operational capability building
- Coordinate BBBEE initiatives, reporting, and compliance activities
- Drive implementation of the Employment Equity Plan
- Promote fair, compliant, and inclusive employment practices
- Ensure adherence to labour legislation, collective agreements, and MIBCO requirements
- Support consistent and fair disciplinary practices
- Maintain strong labour relations within a unionised manufacturing environment
- Monitor HR metrics, KPIs, and balanced scorecards
- Participate in plant forums and operational meetings
- Support HR projects, surveys, and continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements
Relevant Degree/Diploma in Human Resources or related field
Minimum 3 years’ HR Generalist experience within manufacturing or automotive environments
Strong working knowledge of MIBCO Bargaining Council processes
Solid understanding of South African labour legislation and HR best practices
Qualifications
