Responsibilities:
Lead & Inspire
Champion a culture of quality and safety across all teams
Mentor and develop a high-performing QFS (Quality & Food Safety) team
Drive performance through coaching and communication
Support company values and lead training and development initiatives
Ensure Compliance Excellence
Oversee ISO (22000, 9001, 17025) and regulatory compliance
Lead internal and external audits, investigations, and corrective actions
Maintain certifications and elevate QFS standards
Drive Strategy & Innovation
Align QFS strategy with broader business objectives
Contribute to cost-saving initiatives and policy development
Lead continuous improvement and risk management projects
Be the Technical Expert
Provide legal, technical, and advisory support
Develop training content and policy manuals
Represent QFS in cross-functional committees
Manage Suppliers & Incident Protocols
Ensure supplier compliance and monitor performance
Maintain accurate incident records and drive resolutions
Qualifications:

National Diploma or Bachelors degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or Biotechnology (NQF Level 7)

Up to 6 years experience in food safety, quality control, or quality assurance

Proven track record in audit leadership and management system implementation
