About the Role

Mambo’s Plastics Warehouse is seeking a results-driven Retail Store Relief Manager to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our operations team, you will manage store operations and provide regional support across multiple sites in the Pretoria and Johannesburg area. This role offers variety, responsibility, and professional growth for a motivated retail leader who thrives on operational challenges.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operations and overall performance of your base store and any store you are supporting.
  • Step in to lead stores during management absences, peak periods, or operational challenges.
  • Ensure consistent implementation of company policies, procedures, and operational standards.
  • Report store performance, risks, and operational matters to the Area Manager.
  • Lead, supervise, and support store staff at the base store and any relief stores.
  • Manage staff scheduling, attendance, and productivity, ensuring teams deliver results.
  • Provide coaching, guidance, and support to employees.
  • Address performance, conduct, and disciplinary matters in line with company procedures.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Retail Store Manager or Relief Manager.
  • Strong knowledge of people management, stock control, and retail procedures.
  • Willingness and ability to roam between stores in the Johannesburg / Pretoria area when required.
  • Hands-on, adaptable, and results-driven.
  • Strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid drivers license and reliable transport (advantageous).

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Retail Store Manager or Relief Manager.
