Job Title: Technical Sales Executive (Waterproofing & Coatings)

Salary: Basic R25,000 (starting) + Car Allowance + Commission (OTE R50k – R80k p/m)

About Our Client:

TRP has been retained by a major force in the South African industrial sector. With an illustrious 61-year history, our client is a renowned manufacturer and supplier of specialized solutions for the construction, industrial, and commercial markets. They are now expanding their technical sales team and seek a driven executive for their Waterproofing division.

The Role:

We are looking for a technical-minded sales professional to manage and grow the sales of our client’s advanced waterproofing, damp proofing, and industrial coatings range. You will be the primary contact for specifying and selling solutions to a high-level professional audience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive new business development for waterproofing and specialist coating solutions.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with Architects, Property Developers, and Facility/Maintenance Managers.
• Conduct on-site assessments to understand client needs and recommend the correct technical solutions.
• Prepare and present technical proposals and quotations.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure solutions are specified correctly from the design phase.
• Meet and exceed monthly sales targets.

Requirements:

• Proven sales track record in a technical or construction-related field.
• Essential Experience: A network and strong track record of selling to architects, property developers, or large-scale maintenance managers.
• Ability to grasp technical product information quickly.
• Exceptional negotiation and relationship-building skills.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to clients.

Advantageous: A qualification or strong knowledge in Construction, Civil Engineering, or Quantity Surveying.
