Job Summary
Hire Resolve is seeking a highly skilled Senior BI Analyst to join the team of our client, a leading Digital Business Consultancy. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to work at the forefront of digital transformation, using data to drive business insights and strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills, deep technical expertise, and a passion for leveraging business intelligence tools to optimize processes and deliver impactful results.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret data to generate business insights and support decision-making.
- Manage the full BI lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, database development, and reporting.
- Monitor and improve data performance and quality control strategies to identify opportunities for optimization.
- Continuously update knowledge on industry trends, emerging technologies, and tools.
- Create and maintain databases, including structure updates and data storage solutions for reporting purposes.
- Document operational procedures and technical specifications.
- Provide technical support for the maintenance and use of business intelligence software and tools.
- Facilitate data mapping, transformation, and migration to new BI platforms.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand operational strategies and information needs, fostering strong partnerships.
- Lead process improvements and drive the successful implementation of enhancements.
- Mentor and guide junior team members.
Requirements
- A tertiary qualification (degree, diploma, or certificate) in a related field, such as Computer Science, Information Technology, or Informatics.
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in roles such as BI Analyst, Database Developer, or Software Consultant.
- Proven expertise in database design, data analytics, and reporting, particularly using Power BI.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience working with the following tools and technologies:
- Tableau and/or Power BI
- Microsoft SQL Server (MS SQL)
- SSRS, SSIS, and SSAS
- Big Data tools: Hive, Pig, Flume, Sqoop, Oozie, and Spark
- Predictive Analytics tools: Alteryx, Python, R
- Database warehousing and data consolidation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to evaluate complex issues and develop effective solutions.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities, with experience guiding teams and engaging senior stakeholders.
- Advanced technical knowledge and project management skills to ensure timely and successful project execution.
