About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Tax Attorney to join our team in Pretoria. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert tax advice to clients, handling complex tax law matters, and representing clients in negotiations. This is a full-time, on-site position that requires strong knowledge of Tax Law, Corporate and Commercial Law, and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Advising clients on tax planning and structuring share acquisitions, asset-for-share transactions, asset disposals, amalgamations, and intra-group reorganisations
- Handling tax law matters and representing clients in negotiations
- Preparing agreements and staying up to date on developments in tax legislation
- Collaborating with clients to structure solutions that meet commercial and legal goals
Requirements
- 3-5 years post-admission experience
- Proficiency in Tax Law and Corporate and Commercial Law
- Strong knowledge of Tax Planning, Corporate Rules, different share classes/Prefference Shares
- In-depth understanding and application of Tax Law and legal frameworks
- Excellent communication, analytical, and negotiation skills
Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree in Law (LLB)
- Advanced tax qualifications
- Registered Tax Practitioner (advantageous)
- Admittance as an attorney of the High Court of South Africa
- Prior experience in a tax-focused legal role is preferred

Salary package is negotiable depending on qualifications and post-admission experience.
