• Compile and analyse financial information to prepare journal entries, including but not limited to accruals, reclassifications, and corrections.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies.
• Assist with the preparation of tax returns and other regulatory filings.
• Maintain and improve internal controls to safeguard company assets.
• Participate in audits and provide supporting documentation.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Analyse financial data and provide insights to management.
• Stay up-to-date on accounting regulations and best practices.
• Perform other accounting duties as assigned.

Qualifications and

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.
• 3 + years of experience in accounting, with a focus on financial reporting.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software, ideally XERO
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Detail-oriented and highly organized.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
