Job Summary
Requirements:
- Possession of a Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Registered with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) as one of the following:
- Candidate Engineer
- Candidate Engineering Technologist
- Candidate Certificated Engineer
- Candidate Engineering Technician
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in construction projects, with proven project management capabilities.
- Experience in heavy current electrical systems or a strong interest in transitioning into this field.
- Proficient in MS Office package
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate project progress to senior engineers effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and a demonstrated ability to lead and manage project activities.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor the progress of electrical engineering projects and provide regular updates to senior engineers.
- Inspect construction activities related to electrical installations to ensure compliance with design plans and industry standards.
- Evaluate site progress and quality of work, identifying any issues that need addressing.
- Assist in the design, installation, and maintenance of heavy current electrical systems, providing feedback on execution.
- Support teams in transitioning into or enhancing expertise in heavy current applications.
- Ensure all technical documentation, drawings, and reports are accurate and up to date.
- Provide feedback and insights to project teams, helping them resolve challenges and stay on track.
