Job Summary
A respected mining group known for operational excellence and sustainable practices, is looking for an experienced Mine Manager to lead their site-based team. This permanent role offers a chance to oversee full mining operations, manage cross-functional teams, and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards. The ideal person will bring a hands-on leadership style and a strong track record in production and team management.
Education:
- Mine Manager’s Certificate of Competency (Essential)
- Degree/National Diploma in Mining Engineering or related field
Job Experience & Skills Required:
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in a Mine Manager or senior mining leadership role
- Proven track record managing large-scale surface mining operations
- Strong knowledge of MHSA, environmental regulations, and operational compliance
- Solid background in production planning, cost control, and resource optimization
- Experienced in leading and mentoring technical and operational teams
- Skilled in stakeholder engagement and contractor management
- Strong commitment to Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) standards
- Ability to interpret geological and engineering data for operational planning
